#qsmypictoday I started the year with a random photo of this rather eccentrically populated bird cage (charity shop find). Here it is to say goodbye to all the lovely hardcore end of year #qsmypictoday brigade and huge thanks again to Quaystock www.quaystocktoday.tumblr.com for giving us all this wonderful opportunity.
The picture depicts my eclectic mixed up self and the buddha is a clue to my first amazing journey of the year www.addictioneducation.co.uk - click on Thamkrabok Seminar on the right hand side of the page.
To any readers who haven’t joined me already, my musings on 2013 will be on www.addiction2compassion.tumblr.com
Thank you all for the excellent on-line company. Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful 2013!
#qsmypictoday The wonder of unforeseen consequences. Coming back from feeding the canal cats as a passenger stuck in traffic (a new unforeseen consequence of a new retail park in MK). This gave me a chance to indulge my graffiti obsession. Rather liked the lines on the A5 INTA tag and even better was the squirrel the driver noticed climbing up the pipe alongside the tag! Have a good Sunday.
#qsmypictoday Urban wasteland with an amazingly well preserved sunlight soap advert. Charity shop shopping in torrential rain, but the rain isn’t going to stop me from one of my favourite Saturday activities!
#qsmypictoday The view from my office today. Later I received news of the death of a colleague yesterday. A man who pushed me harder and further than anyone else and helped me and many others in their addiction careers. By doing that and through his own tireless national and international work he has helped countless individuals affected by an addiction. RIP.
#qsmypictoday My life on trains: early start to catch the 06.37, the first train to Shrewsbury. The travellers are gathering but the train crews are not. My train is now the 07.41 via Rugby and Birmingham. An irritation but in reality as I always tell my mum 1) It’s not life threatening 2) I won’t get sacked for being late 3) I haven’t booked anyone in knowing this was possible 4) I am not going a long way, with children or vulnerable folk. CBT for self makes the time pass quicker…. Have a lovely day if you are holidaying at home.
#qsmypictoday Good morning world! Day 2 of my glorious retreat from the world. Enjoying silence and some retro TV. Back to work tomorrow, but I’m glad. Complex lives accompanied by addiction don’t stop at Xmas so nor should the services!
#qsmypictoday Time for a game of table football w Mr Joshua Badger Wolverton, rescue cat extraordinaire. This goes out to those animals and humans who are not so lucky yet, but remember as individuals we can always make a difference. Merry Xmas!
